Today I had the honor of showing Meadow some basics of fishing. She wouldn’t handle the worm but was happy when the hook came back empty… “whoa those fish sure are hungry.”

Today at Smart Start soccer practice coach gave the instructions then asked if anyone had any questions. Meadow raised her hand and said "me me me". Coach asked "what?" and Meadow asked "why do we have to follow the rules?". That's my girl!

Blissed Out After Pool Play

For the first time since Jan in Mexico we busted out our swim garb and hit the pool. Blowing up Meadow’s inflatable ring was a salt flavored trip down recent memory lane. The chlorine taste of the Juneau pool is different from the warm salty ocean, but nevertheless a ton of fun (especially due to all the friends we bumped into). Meadow’s swimming skills are notably improved thanks to her time treading water in the surf.

In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday yesterday, I made a word cloud from my fav of his work (The Foot Book). Meadow and I have had a lot of good times with this book, especially when she was younger. Ya know the one… “in the house and on the street, how many many, feet you meet? up in the AIR feet, over a CHAIR feet, more and more feet, 24 feet! Here come more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more… feet.”
